Scholarly Conferences

The PeerPress Platform offers a number of functions that both transform activities around scholarly conferences and help organizers simply the process of hosting an academic event.

Peer Review and Revision

The platform uses a workshop model for proposal submission. Participants can offer one another feedback and draft and revise their work.

Peer Review and Revision Tools

Organizer Tools

Reviewer Decisions

The reviewer decision dashboard aggregates all of the decisions made by proposal reviewers. Tools allow organizers to not only see the acceptance decisions of reviewers but also to consider relative merits of proposals based on voting mechanisms.

Peersourcing

The platform helps attendees participate in conference actitivities and contribute to the archive of conference materials.

Participant Volunteers

Participants identify proposals or conference sessions, then volunteer to provide peer reviews of draft proposals, to write a review of the sessions, or to film or transcribe the session.

Capturing

PeerPress collects presentation materials and captures conference activities.

Uploaded Presentation Materials and Captured Activities

Presenters can provide session materials (in multiple formats) to conference goers and online participants. Audience members can comment on sessions, upload reviews, or upload videos of sessions. PeerPress captures and displays with any tweets associated with sessions.
